I keep journals for each one of my girls. I share my whole heart with them. I want them to have something to read from me as I was in the very state of mothering them as littles. I just recently started keeping them on my desk to have them handy. If I write a paragraph every two months, I'll be pleased!
I also keep their own picture albums from birth up until their second birthday. The entire album is filled with them alone, and them alongside family and friends..
Do you recognize these? They're from Chuck E. Cheese.. It cost one coin to have yourself drawn up, and I have lots and lots, and lots of these!
Here's what I do.. I take a pretty book like this..
Trim the pictures to cut out where they're from {prettier appearance}. And you have a very nice looking scrapbook style album made up of those cheap little pictures. This book is far from done at the moment, but as I work on it I'd like to add embellishments, stickers, and my own personal words.
I know many people who say they have no time for things like this, but let me tell you, it's quick. All of these projects are still in the making, key is I have them organized and in their place. I have a trunk for things like this, and whenever something lying around needs to be filed I go the trunk and tuck it in its proper book/scrapbook/journal/box. I don't watch television and rarely talk on the phone so when I have 20 minutes or so I'll take out a book and get to taping.. Maybe two or three pages at a time. It's slow, but it's important to me that I have these things for my girls. I would feel so blessed to even one day show their girls {or boys!}

I really like this idea. I have been looking for ways to slow down and make more memories for my children. This is now on my list of things to start. Thanks you!
